Export coordinated clashes as BCF 2.1 — no lock-in

Every clash in a published set exports as one BCF 2.1 coordination topic — the topic itself, its comments, a snapshot image, and a 3D viewpoint. Open the file in BIMcollab, Solibri, Autodesk Forma, or any BCF-compatible CDE. One click from the export dialog, no conversion step in between.

Every clash becomes one coordination topic

BCF doesn't share your whole model — it shares the issues found in it. Each clash in scope becomes a topic another BIM tool can open and understand: the clash title, description, matrix-assigned priority and status as the topic's fields, the full comment thread, a snapshot image, and a 3D viewpoint so a compatible tool can restore the camera position for that clash.

Built for BIMcollab, Solibri, Autodesk Forma — or any CDE

BCF is an open, vendor-neutral standard for exchanging coordination issues between BIM applications. If a tool reads BCF, it reads a ClashWise export — no ClashWise account required on the receiving end, and ClashWise isn't picking sides between tools.

Your data, your format, your choice

ClashWise is an interoperability source, not a dead end. The same coordinated clash data exports as Excel, CSV, or BCF 2.1 — pick the format the next step in your workflow needs. Export all clashes in the set, matching your current filter, or just your selection; any signed-in user who can open the clash set can export it, even when your organization is in read-only mode. Unlike Excel or CSV, BCF is a fixed format on purpose — its topic, comments, snapshot, and viewpoint structure can't be customized, so every BCF-compatible tool reads it the same way.

One click from the export dialog

Open your clash set, filter or select a subset if you want one — filters and selections carry into the export dialog. Open More, choose Export, pick BCF (.bcf) under Format, then a scope: all clashes, matching filter, or selected. Small exports download immediately; large exports land in the export tray on the toolbar, ready to download once the job shows Ready. Delivery is by browser download only.

Frequently asked questions

Does ClashWise detect the clashes in a BCF export?

No. Navisworks runs the clash tests and finds the clashes. ClashWise coordinates, prioritizes, and analyzes what's published, and the BCF export packages that coordinated result — topic, comments, snapshot, and viewpoint — for handoff to another tool.

Why can't I pick columns for BCF, the way I can for Excel or CSV?

BCF is a standardized coordination package, not a table. Its structure — topic, comments, snapshot, and viewpoint per clash — is fixed so every BCF-compatible tool reads it the same way. For a field-by-field data export, use Excel or CSV instead.

Does the BCF export respect my grid filter or selection?

Yes. The export dialog offers All clashes in the set, Matching current filter, or Selected clashes, each showing a live count — the same scope options that apply to Excel and CSV exports.

What's actually in a ClashWise BCF export?

Each clash in scope becomes one coordination topic containing the topic itself with its details, its comments, a snapshot image, and a 3D viewpoint so a compatible tool can restore the camera position for that clash.

Where do I find a large BCF export?

Small exports download immediately. Large exports run in the background and appear in the export tray on the toolbar — download the file once the job shows Ready. Delivery is by browser download only; there's no email delivery.

Which plan includes BCF export?

BCF export runs on your published clash sets, so it's part of Clash Management (the Pro and Business plans) and included in the 14-day free trial. Any signed-in user who can open the clash set can export it — even when your organization is in read-only mode.
