ClashWise keeps you informed by email — when a publish finishes, when an AI analysis completes, when your trial is about to end, and when something needs your attention on your account. You control which categories you receive from your Profile page.
There is no in-app notification center: email preferences are ClashWise's notification settings.
Where to find it
- Sign in at https://clashwise.ai.
- Open the navigation drawer and select Profile.
- Scroll to the EMAIL PREFERENCES card.
The four toggles
- Operational emails — "Task completion, bug reports, processing notifications." These tell you when background work finishes, for example:
- a clash set finished publishing or updating ("ClashWiseAI - Clash Set Created!" / "Clash Set Updated!")
- an AI clash analysis completed or failed ("ClashWiseAI - Clash Set Analysis Completed")
- a large matrix update finished ("ClashWise AI - Matrix Update Completed")
- acknowledgements for bug reports you submit
- Lifecycle emails — "Welcome messages, onboarding, inactive reminders." These include trial-ending reminders (sent to organization admins a few days before the trial ends), a note when you create your first clash set, and occasional re-engagement emails if you've been away for a while.
- Marketing emails — "Product updates, feature announcements, educational content."
- Unsubscribe from all non-essential emails — a single switch that turns off all three categories above, leaving only critical security notifications.
Changes take effect as soon as you save. Turning a category back on also lifts any earlier unsubscribe, so you'll start receiving that category again.
Emails that can't be turned off
Security notice: transactional emails (password resets, account security) cannot be disabled. These are the emails your account depends on:
- "Verify Your Email – ClashWiseAI" — the set-your-password link sent when you register.
- "Set Up Your ClashWiseAI Password" — sent when an account is created for you (for example, through the Navisworks plugin) or when activation is resent.
- "Your ClashWiseAI Account is Ready" — confirmation that your account is set up.
- "Password Reset Request" and "Password Changed Successfully".
Billing emails come from Stripe
Invoices, receipts, and card-failure notices are sent by Stripe, ClashWise's payment provider — not by ClashWise itself, and not controlled by these toggles. If a payment fails, you'll also see the status reflected on your Organization page.
Tips
- Marketing and lifecycle emails carry an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so you can also opt out directly from any of those emails.
- If you rely on knowing when publishes and analyses finish, keep Operational emails on — long-running jobs complete in the background, and the email is often the quickest way to know a job is done.
- There are no email warnings for AI usage limits. Your Wise actions meter lives on the Profile page, and the plugin chat shows a quiet reminder when you're close to your allowance — see the Usage and AI Quotas article.
Troubleshooting
- Not receiving emails? Check your spam or junk folder first, and ask your IT team whether emails from clashwise.ai are being filtered. Then check that the relevant toggle (and the unsubscribe-all switch) is set the way you expect.
- Turned everything off but still got an email? Transactional security emails always send, and billing emails come from Stripe rather than ClashWise.
