Subscriptions and Billing

This article explains how ClashWise plans work, how the free trial behaves, how to buy and manage a subscription, and what happens if a subscription lapses.

All prices are in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe, and you can enter a promotion code at checkout if you have one.

During open-access beta periods, the pricing page and the app say "Free during our open beta" and every feature is open to all accounts. Everything below describes normal (non-beta) operation.

The plans

ClashWise is one product with three tiers:

Plan Pricing model What it covers
Starter Flat, per user — monthly or yearly Plugin-only tools inside Navisworks: local AI clash titles (11 languages, 6 naming standards, generated on your machine), Group Clashes, and search sets & clash tests. No cloud platform.
Pro Per seat — monthly or yearly Everything in Starter plus the full cloud platform: publishing and syncing clash sets, the clash matrix and AI analysis, the 3D viewer, live coordination sessions, insights dashboards, filters and saved views, password-protected shares, and the Wise AI assistant.
Business Per seat — monthly or yearly (minimum 3 seats) Everything in Pro plus teams and standards: multiple project workspaces, project-scoped data visibility, per-project admins and member roles, a shared company-standard matrix library, and organization member management.

Current prices are always shown at https://clashwise.ai/pricing and in the in-app upgrade dialog (yearly billing is discounted).

"Clash Management" means Pro or Business — the tiers that include the cloud platform. Publishing, updating, and syncing clash sets requires Clash Management; Starter alone can't publish to the web.

Wise AI action allowances differ by plan (monthly per-seat allowances pooled across your team; Business includes more than Pro — current sizes at https://clashwise.ai/pricing) — see the Usage and AI Quotas article.

The free trial

Every new account gets a trial automatically:

Organization admins receive an email reminder a few days before the trial ends.

Upgrading to Pro or Business

Only organization admins can change the plan.

  1. Open the navigation drawer and select Organization.
  2. Select Upgrade plan.
  3. In the upgrade dialog, choose Pro or Business, pick Monthly or Annual (annual saves 2 months), and set the number of seats.
  4. Complete checkout with your card details.

If you upgrade during your trial, the remaining trial time is preserved — you won't be charged until the trial ends. When checkout completes you'll see "Your plan has been updated. Welcome aboard!" and the new plan applies immediately.

If you're not an admin, the dialog shows Upgrade needed and asks you to contact your organization admin.

Managing seats

On the Organization page, admins can adjust the seat count with the SEATS stepper and Update seats. Seats are consumed by active members plus pending invitations, and you can't buy fewer seats than are currently consumed — remove members or cancel pending invites first.

Managing billing, invoices, and cancellation

Select Manage billing on the Organization page (admins only) to open the Stripe billing portal, where you can:

Cancellation is fully self-serve — no calls, no emails required. Invoices, receipts, and failed-payment notices are emailed to you by Stripe.

Buying Starter on its own

Starter is a personal (per-user) subscription that any signed-in member can buy for themselves:

  1. Open the Organization page.
  2. Find the card labeled ONLY NEED CLASH RENAMING? — it offers Starter on its own.
  3. Select the monthly or yearly Subscribe button (the current price is shown on the button) and complete checkout.

If your organization already has an active Clash Management plan, the card instead reads AI-POWERED CLASH STARTER — Included in your Clash Management plan — no separate subscription needed, because Pro and Business already include everything Starter does.

A personal Starter subscription shows up on your Profile under FEATURE SUBSCRIPTIONS.

What happens when a subscription lapses

If your trial ends without upgrading, or a paid subscription becomes inactive, your organization becomes read-only:

To restore full access, an admin upgrades from the Organization page.

Autodesk App Store purchases

If you bought ClashWise through the Autodesk App Store, sign in to the Navisworks plugin with your Autodesk account. ClashWise recognizes your App Store entitlement, creates or links your ClashWise account automatically (no password needed), and grants the matching feature. One-time purchases remain valid permanently, and entitlements are re-checked automatically in the background.
