Usage and AI Quotas

ClashWise meters its AI features in two ways: a monthly allowance of Wise actions for the assistant features, and a daily quota for AI clash analysis runs. Both are visible on your Profile page, so you always know where you stand.

Where to find your meters

Sign in at https://clashwise.ai.
Open the navigation drawer and select Profile.
Scroll to the USAGE QUOTAS and AI USAGE cards.

Wise actions — the AI currency

A Wise action is one unit of AI assistant work. One action is consumed by:

one chat message to Wise in the Navisworks plugin (one question and its full answer, however much work Wise does in between),
one message to Wise in the web 3D viewer,
generating an Explain this clash explanation for the first time.

Things that do not consume actions:

re-reading an explanation that was already generated,
browsing, refreshing, and editing clash cards,
requests that fail — you're never charged for an error,
AI clash naming in the plugin (that's the Starter feature itself, runs on your own machine, and is unlimited on paid plans — trial accounts have a monthly naming allowance),
everyday AI conveniences like suggested prompts.

Allowances by plan

Plan	Wise actions

Pro	A monthly allowance per seat, pooled across your organization
Business	A larger monthly allowance per seat, pooled across your organization
Starter	Not included (Starter's AI naming is local; unlimited on paid plans)

Current allowance sizes are listed at https://clashwise.ai/pricing, and your remaining balance shows on the AI USAGE card. "Pooled" means the whole team draws from one shared monthly pot — every seat contributes, and any member can use it. To keep the pool fair, a single member of a multi-seat organization can't consume more than a set multiple of their per-seat share.

The AI USAGE card

The AI USAGE card shows your monthly meter — how many Wise actions you've used out of your plan's allowance ("shared across your organization" on pooled plans) — with a progress bar and a per-feature breakdown of where the actions went. If you haven't used any AI yet, it shows "No AI activity yet this month."

In the plugin chat, a quiet amber chip appears once you've used about 80% of your allowance, showing how many actions you have left.

What happens at the limit

When the allowance is used up, AI assistant features pause until the window resets:

Monthly allowance used → you'll see a message that your organization's monthly AI action allowance is used up, with an invitation to upgrade.
Daily (trial) limit reached → you'll see a message that the daily assistant limit is reached.

Nothing else stops working — clash management, viewing, exporting, and analysis quotas are all separate.

Daily AI analysis quota

The USAGE QUOTAS card ("Track your AI feature usage") shows your daily limit for AI clash analysis runs — the analyses that apply your clash matrix to a published clash set. It displays USED TODAY, REMAINING, and DAILY LIMIT with a progress bar, plus the time your quota resets. Some plans show this as "Unlimited."

This quota is separate from Wise actions: running an analysis doesn't consume Wise actions, and chatting with Wise doesn't consume analysis runs.

Resets

The daily analysis quota resets every day at the time shown on the card ("RESETS AT").
The trial's daily Wise action allowance resets daily.
Monthly Wise action allowances reset each month.

Unused actions don't roll over.

Tips

Group related questions into one chat message where you can — one message is one action, no matter how much Wise does to answer it.
Explanations are cached: once someone generates Explain this clash, everyone can re-read it for free.
If your team keeps hitting the monthly pool, upgrading from Pro to Business raises the per-seat allowance.
