ClashWise is one product with three tiers. This article explains what each plan includes, how the free trial works, what happens when a subscription lapses, who can do what, and where to upgrade.
During open-access beta periods, the pricing pages read "Free during our open beta" and all features are free — the plans below describe standard operation.

- Starter — AI clash naming inside Navisworks: local AI clash titles in 11 languages with 6 naming standards, generated on your machine, plus Group Clashes and the Sets and Clashes search-set and clash-test builder. No cloud platform: Starter alone cannot publish clash sets to the web.
- Pro — everything in Starter plus the whole cloud platform: publishing, updating, and syncing clash sets, the browser matrix builder and rules engine with AI analysis, the clash grid with filters, bulk-apply and saved views, the 3D clash viewer, live coordination sessions, insights dashboards, password-protected shares, and the Wise AI assistant. One shared workspace for your organization.
- Business — everything in Pro plus teams and standards: multiple project workspaces, project-scoped data visibility (client separation), per-project admins and member roles, the shared company-standard matrix library (publish and clone), and organization member management.

"Clash Management" in ClashWise messages means the Pro or Business plan (or the trial) — the plans that include the cloud platform.
Billing is handled by Stripe in USD, with a "Monthly" / "Yearly — save 2 months" choice. Promotion codes are accepted at checkout.
The free trial
Every new account automatically gets a 14-day Clash Management trial for its personal organization — 5 seats, full Pro-level access, no credit card. It's the only thing you need to evaluate the whole platform, including AI analysis, the 3D viewer, sessions, and Wise (with a trial AI allowance of 10 Wise actions per user per day).
Your trial status is visible on your Profile ("Trial — N days left") and on the Organization page ("TRIAL ENDS {date}").
What happens when a trial or subscription ends
The organization becomes read-only: you can still sign in, view everything, and export your data, but editing, publishing, and member/license changes are blocked. A banner explains it: "Your organization is read-only (trial ended or subscription inactive). You can still view and export." Upgrading restores full access — nothing is deleted.
One exception: a personal Starter subscription keeps working even while the rest of the workspace is read-only — clash renaming in the plugin is independent of the organization's plan.
Wise actions — the AI allowance
Wise actions are the currency for the AI assistant features. Each chat request that does AI work counts as one Wise action — an assistant chat message, a Wise message in the 3D viewer, or generating a clash explanation. Card edits, refreshes, and browsing don't consume actions, re-reading an existing explanation is free, and failed requests are never charged. AI clash naming in the plugin is not metered on paid plans — it runs on your own machine; trial accounts have a monthly naming allowance.

Track your usage on your Profile: the AI USAGE card shows your monthly Wise-actions meter with a per-feature breakdown, and USAGE QUOTAS shows the daily allowance for analysis runs. In the plugin chat, a quiet chip appears when you've used 80% of your allowance. When an allowance is used up, AI features pause until it resets and the app shows an upgrade prompt — everything else keeps working.

Additional roles you'll meet:
- Project Owner / Member — inside a project workspace, Owners manage members, tags, and settings; Members use the shared content. (Projects and the company matrix library are Business-plan features.)
- Organization read-only — any member of a lapsed organization can still view and export, nothing more.
- Publishing a matrix to the Company library requires a Business plan and an org Admin; any member can clone from it.
Where to upgrade and manage billing
Everything happens on the Organization page (/my/organization):
- "Upgrade plan" (Admins only) — choose Pro or Business, monthly or annual, and the number of seats; checkout is via Stripe. Your remaining trial days are preserved when you upgrade during the trial.
- Seats — Admins adjust the seat count with the stepper and "Update seats". Seats in use = active members + pending invites; you can't reduce below that.
- "Manage billing" (Admins only) — opens the Stripe billing portal for invoices, card changes, and cancellation. You can cancel in-app at any time; there are no retention calls.
- Starter — any signed-in member can buy it for themselves from the same page: the "ONLY NEED CLASH RENAMING?" card offers monthly and yearly Subscribe buttons showing the current price. If your organization already has an active Clash Management plan, the card notes Starter is already included — no separate subscription needed.
Invoices, receipts, and card-failure notices come from Stripe by email.
FAQs
- Do I need a credit card for the trial? No. The trial starts automatically at signup.
- Is Starter included in Pro/Business? Yes — Clash Management plans include everything in Starter.
- Can I buy Starter without a Clash Management plan? Yes — it's a flat personal subscription, and it keeps working even if your organization's plan lapses.
- What if I bought Clash Naming on the Autodesk App Store? App Store purchases are recognized automatically when you sign in to the plugin with your Autodesk identity — one-time purchases remain valid for life.
- Will I lose data if my subscription lapses? No. Your organization becomes read-only; view and export keep working, and upgrading restores everything.
