You can share a clash set's insights dashboard with anyone using a public link. Recipients don't need a ClashWise account — they open the link in a browser and see the live dashboard exactly as you saved it.
Why you'd use it
Project managers, clients, and other stakeholders often need to see coordination progress without working in ClashWise themselves. An insights share link gives them a self-updating dashboard instead of a static screenshot or a manually built report.
Who can use it
Creating insights share links requires an active Clash Management subscription (Pro or Business, an org-provided seat, the trial, or open-beta access). Without one, clicking Share insights shows a blocking message instead of the dialog.
Recipients need nothing: no account, no plan — just the link (and the password, if you set one).
Where to find it
There are two places to create an insights share link:
- From the insights dashboard: open the set's insights (see the Clash Set Insights article) and click Share insights in the hero.
- From the Shared Insights console: use the CREATE A NEW SHARE LINK composer (see the Managing Shared Links article).
How to share from the insights dashboard
- Open the clash set's insights dashboard and click Share insights.
- The dialog explains: share insights with anyone using a public link — links don't require a ClashWise account.
- Choose an expiration: 7, 30, or 90 days, 6 months, or 1 year.
- Optionally require a password. Passwords are 4 characters and generated automatically — you don't invent your own.
- Click Create link.
- Use Copy link, Copy password info, or Open link to distribute or preview it.
The dialog also lists your existing links for this set, and Manage all shared insights → takes you to the console where every link you've created lives.
How to share from the Shared Insights console
The console's composer offers three link modes:
- Public — anyone with the link; no sign-in, no password.
- Password — visitors must enter the auto-generated 4-character password before the insights load.
- Expiring — the link revokes itself after a set duration. The default is 7 days, configurable from 1 day up to 1 year. (Public and Password links default to 30 days.)
Only clash sets with a completed analysis and an assigned matrix can be shared — a set that hasn't been analyzed won't appear in the composer's CLASH SET picker.
What recipients see
- The dashboard renders with your saved tile layout — recipients cannot rearrange, hide, or add tiles. Whatever you last saved with Save layout is what they get, so curate the layout before sharing.
- The data is the set's live insights, including the metric tiles, charts, and (if you left it visible) the AI Summary tile. AI-generated content carries the same on-screen notice as in your view: "Some content is AI-generated and should be reviewed for accuracy."
- If the link is password protected, visitors see a prompt that the insights link is password protected and must enter the 4-character password first.
- If the link has expired or been revoked, visitors see an expired-link message instead of the dashboard.
- If loading fails temporarily, visitors see "Couldn't load insights" with a Retry → button.
Recipients cannot edit anything, run analyses, or navigate into your clash sets — the link exposes only this dashboard.
The live demo
Want to show someone what insights look like without sharing real project data? ClashWise hosts an anonymous live demo at https://clashwise.ai/demo/insights. It runs in Demo Mode on sample project data generated for demonstration, needs no account, and is safe to send to anyone evaluating the product.
Tips
- Save your layout first. The saved layout is applied to everyone who views the insights, including link recipients — hide internal-only tiles before you share.
- Use a password for client-facing links and a shorter expiry for one-off reviews; use up to 1 year for long-running project dashboards.
- Copy password info captures the link and password together so you can paste both into an email in one go.
- The link is live — recipients always see current data, so you don't need to re-share after each analysis.
FAQs
Do recipients need a ClashWise account? No. Share links open in any browser without signing in.
Can I choose my own password? No — passwords are generated automatically as 4 characters. You can copy them from the dialog or reveal them later in the Shared Insights console.
Can recipients see my contacts or edit clashes? No. The public insights page is read-only and limited to the dashboard tiles you saved.
How long can a link last? From the dashboard dialog: 7, 30, or 90 days, 6 months, or 1 year. The console's Expiring mode can go as short as 1 day. Links can be extended later (see the Managing Shared Links article).
Troubleshooting
- "Share insights" shows a blocking message. Your account doesn't have an active Clash Management subscription. See the Account, Plans & Billing section.
- A recipient reports the link doesn't work. Check the link in the Shared Insights console — it may have expired or been revoked. You can extend or revive it there, or create a new one.
- A recipient can't get past the password prompt. Reveal the password in the Shared Insights console and re-send it — an incorrect entry shows a try-again message.
Limitations
- Only clash sets with a completed analysis (and an assigned matrix) can be shared.
- The layout recipients see is your saved layout; they cannot customize it.
- Passwords are always auto-generated 4-character codes.
- Maximum link lifetime is 1 year per creation or extension.
