Free · Model Context Protocol
Clash priority, in your AI assistant.
A free MCP server that rates clashes between two building element types: the priority, the status new clashes should start in and which element should give way, for your kind of project. Ask from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client, or try it here.
Try it on a pair.
Pick a project type and two element types, named as a coordinator would name them. Disciplines are optional: leave them empty and they are matched for you.
Example answer
Medical gas pipe × Fire compartment wall
- Priority
- Critical
- Starting status
- Open
- Gives way
- Medical gas pipe
- Fire compartment wall stays put.
- Priority
- This clash rule is Critical because a medical gas pipe crossing an Architecture fire compartment wall can affect life safety and code compliance in a hospital.
- Starting status
- This clash rule starts Open because the wall penetration must be checked and resolved before the fire compartment is accepted.
- Gives way
- The medical gas pipe gives way because the fire compartment wall must keep its fixed fire-resisting position.
Answers are AI suggestions. Check them against your project's standards before you rely on them.

Add the server URL as a remote MCP server. Menus change between releases: if yours looks different, look for remote, custom or HTTP MCP servers.
Server URL
https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcpWith a free ClashWise account, the steps use the signed-in address: 500 pairs a day instead of 30 an hour, after signing in once.
Claude (web and desktop)
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Select Add custom connector, name it ClashWise clash priority and paste the server URL.
- Select Add. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it under Admin settings, then each member connects it.
ChatGPT
- Turn on Developer mode. Depending on your version it is in Settings under Apps and Connectors, Advanced settings, or under Security.
- Create a connector, paste the server URL and choose No authentication. For the signed-in address, choose OAuth.
- Custom connectors are available on the web for eligible plans; a workspace admin may need to allow them first.
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http clashwise-priority https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcpCursor
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in a project:
{
"mcpServers": {
"clashwise-priority": {
"url": "https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcp"
}
}
}VS Code
Run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP and paste the server URL, or add this to your mcp.json:
{
"servers": {
"clashwise-priority": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcp"
}
}
}Windsurf
Add this to ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json, then refresh the MCP servers:
{
"mcpServers": {
"clashwise-priority": {
"serverUrl": "https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcp"
}
}
}Gemini CLI
Run this in a terminal:
gemini mcp add --transport http clashwise-priority https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcpCodex CLI
Run this in a terminal. For the signed-in address, then run codex mcp login clashwise-priority.
codex mcp add clashwise-priority --url https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcpOther MCP clients
Any client that supports remote Streamable HTTP servers can use the server URL directly. A client that only runs local servers can use the mcp-remote bridge, which needs Node.js:
{
"mcpServers": {
"clashwise-priority": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.clashwise.ai/mcp"]
}
}
}What to ask.
Your assistant picks the right tool. Try asking:
What priority should clashes between sprinkler pipes and cable trays have on a hospital project?
Rate these for a data centre and explain each: chilled water pipe and cable tray, server rack and sprinkler pipe, raised floor pedestal and cable tray.
Which should move, the cable tray or the duct, in an office?
That answer looks too high. Suggest Moderate instead and say why.
- rate_clash_pair
One pair: priority, starting status and which element gives way, with one-sentence reasons when you ask why.
- rate_clash_pairs
Up to 50 pairs in one call, for a whole discipline package or a new matrix.
- list_project_types
The project types the ratings understand, from healthcare to data centres.
- submit_feedback
Suggest a better priority or gives-way answer. People review it; it never changes an answer directly.
Free, with fair limits.
The server is free to use. Limits keep it fast and free for everyone.
- Without signing in
30 pairs an hour from each network.
- With a free ClashWise account
500 pairs a day. Use the signed-in address and sign in once.
- Repeated questions
Answered from a cache: the same pair on the same project type gets the same answer.
- Busy days
If the day's free capacity runs out, pairs already rated still answer and new ones wait until midnight UTC.
What happens to your questions.
The server only sees what you send: element type names, optional disciplines and the project type. It has no access to ClashWise projects, models or clash data, yours or anyone else's.
We keep usage counts to run the service fairly. Feedback you send is kept with the answer it is about and reviewed by people.
Reviewed feedback may be published in ClashWise's open clash-rating dataset under CC BY 4.0, without names or email addresses. Don't put personal or confidential project details in feedback notes.
Read the privacy policyQuestions.
Is it really free?
Yes. Rating pairs is free without an account, within the limits above. A free ClashWise account raises them.
How good are the answers?
They come from the engine ClashWise uses to build clash matrices, measured against an expert-reviewed test set. They are suggestions: check them against your project's standards before you rely on them.
Does it see my models or clash data?
No. It answers from the element types you name. Rating your actual clashes is what ClashWise clash management does, inside your workspace.
Which project types does it know?
Healthcare, commercial, education, data centres, residential and more. Ask your assistant to list the project types.
Can I use the answers in my clash matrix?
Yes. Copy them into any matrix, or let ClashWise build the whole matrix and apply it to every published clash.
Want it applied to every clash?
ClashWise builds the full clash matrix for your project and applies priority, status and owner to every clash from Navisworks.
